It is forbidden to send the following goods in parcel shipments:

• 

  Narcotic or psychotropic drugs

• 

  Explosives, flammables or radioactive substances

• 

  Arms and ammunition

• 

  Pornographic or erotic materials

• 

  Money, coins, bonds etc.

• 

  Excise goods

• 

  Objects, substances, the export, transfer or circulation of which are prohibited in Latvia

• 

  Packages not suitably packed or unpacked

• 

  Animals

• 

  Any substances that may spill on - contaminate or damage other packages

• 

  Easily breakable objects

• 

  Perishable food and other goods

The postal operator shall have the right to impose other restrictions on the content of postal items that do not contravene the requirements of the Universal Postal Convention and other regulatory enactments.
